Leap Year Manic Monday?

Is Leap Year Day like having a full moon? Or is it because it’s Monday? Something has to be up because this day has been quite an adventure and it’s barely 10am.

Allow me to illustrate dear reader.

• Ace insisted he didn’t want to sleep in his crib last night and that he needed to sleep in our bed instead. He couldn’t get comfortable so he flipped and flopped until about 2:30am, waking me up every 10 minutes.
• I proceeded to have insomnia from 2:30am-4:30am
• I forgot to send Ace’s grapes with him in the car this morning on the way to granny’s house, so dad was fortunate enough to hear about it the whole ride there
• I sent my Starbucks order to the wrong location and had to double back and find parking in busy downtown
• I ran into one of my old co-workers at the mistaken Starbucks location who embodied all of the reasons I left that job
• I spilled coffee on my phone
• I left my cold medicine at home and walked into the office to find out that half our group is out with the flu

At the end of this list, all I can do is laugh and shake my head. Sometimes, things just don’t go as planned.

Now, excuse me while I sip what’s left of my latte and disinfect my desk in hopes that I’m not the next one out with the flu. Hopefully, these are just Leap Year shenanigans and they won’t reappear for four more years.
