Help! I Need All Day Party Food Recommendations

Bea will be here very soon and we’ve decided to do a get-together beforehand. It’ll be similar to a sprinkle in that it’s for the baby but is by no means a full on baby shower. Honestly, I hesitate to even call it a sprinkle. Instead, I’ve been referring to it as a Kickback for Baby Girl. A party of sorts. It’s an opportunity for us to see friends and family, those with kids and without in a relaxed environment all in Bea’s honor.

The biggest question mark I’m running into is what kind of food to serve since it’s an all day party and I’m in no condition to be up on my feet cooking for hours. The format is a day-long, open-house, come and go as you please type party. That means people will be in and out and I don’t want to have to try to keep food hot that long while simultaneously worrying about it drying out. It’s hard enough keeping myself from drying out.

I think I can serve a bunch of appetizers, some a little heavier than others. But I think the key is that they all have to be good (and safe) at room temperature. I’m even willing to keep some stuff cold, as that’s a little easier than hot items. But I’m still at a loss for what to actually put on the table.

So all you caterers, super-moms, party planners, and food-lovers out there, help a momma out.

What should I serve?!
